Header Rail Manufacture

WCM supported the delivery of a Header Rail part that stretches across the length of the windscreen of the Jaguar F-Type Project 7 series

The Jaguar F-Type Project 7 series was a one off edition of 250 vehicles in celebration of Jaguar’s seven Le Mans wins and the achievements of the Ecurle Ecosse racing team responsible for two of seven of them. Being very visible to passengers, the Header Rail had to be retained in as high a quality finish as possible and fulfil all performance levels, especially when considering the impact of wind/airflow when in motion.

WCM manufactured the injection moulded substrate for the part which was then leathered by a partner supplier for the project. Once completed, the part returned to WCM to undergo a full quality inspection process. Once each Header Rail had been approved, an air bag logo was added through a heat staking process.
